American Jazz Dance

Jazz Unlimited teaches the APDA Jazz syllabus, through all 14 levels. It is the premier jazz dance syllabus. The work fully trains students in all aspects of basic Ballet and jazz techniques, the jazz dance style, and the dynamics required to encourage performance, style and the sheer enjoyment of dance.

Jazz levels:

  • Preschool – Tiny Dancers – age 3+4 years
  • Primary Jazz (2 levels) - age 5-7 years
  • Junior Jazz (3 levels) – age 7-11 years
  • Elementary Jazz (3 levels) – age 11-13 years
  • Intermediate Jazz (3 levels) – age 13-17 years
  • Advanced Jazz (3 levels) – age 17-20 years
N.B. Age ranges are advisory.

Teachers

Great dance teachers care about their students. Our team of experienced teachers is professionally trained, up to speed with all syllabus requirements, and great dancers themselves, but more importantly, they are thorough, patient, kind, and passionate about what they do – and their students perform really well in all settings, including exams. They nurture and guide students in a calm and happy environment.

Achievements

All students are expected to sit exams and dance in our end-of-year Show. Exam results are excellent and include top-tier-and-top-in-NZ awards.
